The AIA Conference on Architecture & Design 2026 brought together architects, designers, and technology providers from across the industry to explore new ideas, emerging technologies, and evolving project–delivery approaches.
For the Hexagon Multivista team, the event provided an opportunity to connect with professionals from all over North America and learn more about the priorities driving their projects today.
Improving project delivery remains a top priority
While every conversation was unique a common theme emerged throughout the event: teams are looking for ways to improve how projects are delivered.
Attendees shared a wide range of perspectives based on their roles and experiences, but many expressed a similar goal of finding more efficient ways to execute projects, improve collaboration, and navigate increasing project complexity. There was significant interest in learning about new approaches, technologies, and services that can help teams work more effectively while maintaining quality and meeting project demands.
These conversations also reflected a broader focus on improving access to project information and reducing workflow fragmentation. As organizations continue to adopt new technologies, many are looking for ways to connect information across teams and project phases to support more informed decision–making.
Capacity and resource challenges continue
Another topic that surfaced repeatedly was capacity. Many firms are balancing growing workloads while navigating staffing challenges and evolving project requirements.
Several attendees discussed the difficulty of finding the right resources to support project delivery and the importance of having access to specialized expertise when needed. These conversations reinforced how important flexibility has become as firms look for ways to scale project support without overextending internal teams.
The need for greater awareness and education
The event also highlighted an ongoing opportunity for education across the industry. Many attendees were interested in learning more about the technologies, services, and workflows available to support design and construction projects.
Throughout the conference, it became clear that professionals want practical examples that demonstrate how solutions are applied in real-world environments and the outcomes they can help achieve. Visual examples, project stories, and clear explanations of workflows often sparked some of the most engaging discussions at the booth.
Looking ahead
One of the most valuable aspects of the AIA Conference is the opportunity to hear directly from industry professionals about the challenges they are facing and the goals they are working toward. The conversations at this year’s event reinforced that firms continue to seek better ways to improve efficiency, manage complexity, and deliver successful projects.
They also highlighted the importance of connected project information and workflows, an area that continues to shape the evolution of solutions like the Hexagon Multivista Hub, which brings Capture, Create, Analyze services together in one connected experience.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Hexagon Multivista booth to share their insights and experiences. If you would like to discuss how Capture, Create, Analyze can support your next project, connect with our team.
